Privacy policy
This policy explains what alexdoesai.com (the "site") collects, why, and who it is shared with. The site is operated by Alexandre Santos, based in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and follows Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA.
The short version
- The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Messages you type into the live demo are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. They are not stored by the site.
- Booking an intro call happens on Google Calendar, under Google's privacy policy.
- Nothing is sold or used for marketing.
What is collected and why
Visiting the site
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser information, and the pages you request to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. This is done under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. No visitor-level analytics tool is installed on the site.
Using the live demo
When you send a message in the demo, the site's server forwards the conversation so far, together with the demo, business type, and language you chose, to Anthropic, whose Claude model generates the reply. Anthropic processes this data as a service provider under its API terms and does not use it to train its models by default. Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs for a limited period for trust and safety purposes.
The site does not store your conversation. It stays in your browser until you restart the demo or leave the page. Your IP address is used briefly to enforce a rate limit on the demo and is not kept afterwards.
Do not enter personal information, health information, payment details, passwords, or confidential information into the demo. It is a demonstration with fictional businesses and is not designed to hold such data.
Booking an intro call
The booking link opens a Google Calendar appointment schedule in a new tab. The name, email address, and other details you enter there are collected by Google under Google's privacy policy and shared with Alexandre Santos to arrange and hold the call. That information is used only to prepare for and follow up on the call, and is kept for as long as needed for that purpose.
If you email hello@alexdoesai.com, your message and address are kept for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence.
"Ask an AI" buttons
The buttons on the left edge of the site open ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini, or Perplexity in a new tab with a prompt that points at this site. Anything you do there is governed by that service's privacy policy. The site receives nothing back from them.
Sharing
Personal information is shared only with the service providers named above, to the extent needed to run the site, and where required by law. It is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Where data is processed
Cloudflare, Anthropic, and Google operate outside Canada, including in the United States, so your information may be processed there and be subject to the laws of those places.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The demo's API key is stored as a server-side secret and never sent to your browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the site cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@alexdoesai.com. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
